If a fun, not so serious outdoor adventure/challenge with no expectations might clear your mind, pick a treasure that sounds enticing enough to look for. Something like a waterfall or diamonds(?) or some salamanders, maybe an artifact, or just a good time. It could be a good way to get out and have a nice change. You might bring pets, cameras, journals, etc. Even if you don't want to join, I could use suggestions for the adventures.
There are no upcoming Meetups.
A group of metal detectorists in Baltimore, Maryland. We hunt for coins, jewelry, relics and what-nots. Baltimore has such a rich history hidden right in the dirt in our own back yards. Most of our meetups will include a pot luck, picnic style lunch at the hunt location. I'm planning meetup outings at various locations throughout Charm City (with landowner's permission, of course).
Geocaching is absolutely the best game ever created. It utilizes the latest technology, outdoor fun, creative thinking, good exercise, and is fairly cheap to do. What else could you ask for? This group is for those who are just starting (like me) or those who are advanced in the hobby. I want to meet others who love this hobby or those just curious about it. All you need is just a GPS unit, and most good cell phones already have that. Come learn and enjoy the coolest activity in the world!
